Anyway, we decided to try out our cameras. Christina has a Canon Rebel and I have a Nikon D5100 - yeah, battle of the cameras! Jacob hung out with the dad's and the girls went to a local park and downtown Longview for our fabulous photo shoot! Sad thing is, we don't know enough about our cameras to be considered truly knowledgeable, BUT we think our pictures turned out pretty good. Check them out!
Me and Christina. These chairs were in the alley by some trash cans (check out the black one later on). We're in our 40's so we can take broken down chairs and use them like this! Christina's a little dumpster diver anyway. She has some beautiful furniture pieces that were FREE!!

I love this vine. Taylor had her Sweet 16 pictures taken at this park and this vine was one of the props. Kendal Jessup did a fabulous job with Taylor's pictures!

Erin again!
Whoa! Somebody stop me! This is Emily.
Christina took this one and I LOVE it!!
Love the trash cans! Oh, and the black chair! Notice anything??
Another Christina original! One of these girls (I'm not giving away names), decided to perch herself on the crossing bar - or at least try to. I'm not sure it was completely broken, but it sure was bouncy going back up :/
After looking for Emily's phone for a pretty good while, we discovered that my chair had eaten it. Apparently that wasn't all that it hadn't eaten! We literally had to take out the staples on the bottom fabric cover to retrieve her phone!
And more lost goodies!
Emily creeping on people in the Wal-Mart parking lot!
This weekend was also the Great Texas Balloon Race at the Gregg County Airport - the 34th year. Can you believe we missed the balloon glow by about 5 minutes?? Thank you Taco Casa. We had to settle for the baby balloon :(
Another great weekend with friends. We stayed up until 2:00 a.m. talking! I sure do wish we lived closer together. The closest we have ever lived to each was Overton when the girls were little and Emily was just a baby. I'll never forget when I went over to visit and Christina had painted her baby toe nails red. Oh my gosh - that was when we both had mini-vans!! Now we both have Expeditions (again). And we're both married to Ford men!
I will have to find some old pictures and post them in my Oldies But Goodies section!
Later!
